Honda’s aim when designing the City was to create a car that was larger on the inside than it appeared on the outside. The roofline stretches high to increase space for occupants, but the subtle folds streaking down each wing retain the bodywork’s sleek look. The front grille integrates with the headlights for a tidy finish; details including front fog lights, alloy wheels and a shark-fin antenna, heighten the car’s sophistication further.

The Honda City’s premium character is underlined by an interior that guarantees comfort for everyone. The manufacturer has used its expertise to craft a spacious cabin within compact exterior dimensions, while also retaining the refinement seen on the outside. The model offers practicality too, as the trunk opening is wider to make loading and unloading easier. The rear seats can fold down to hold longer items which makes the car perfect for long family trips.

The technology fitted within the City keeps drivers connected wherever they travel and makes motoring much easier. All model versions include a seven-inch display as part of an audio system which features USB/AUX input and a CD player.

The Bluetooth® interface enables users to take calls without lifting a finger from the wheel, while the PUSH & Drive button reinforces the car’s sophistication. For effortless driving, Honda fits cruise control and power steering as standard.

Honda’s 1.5-litre 118HP four-cylinder i-VTEC engine is coupled with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) to deliver power instantly, smoothly and without wasting fuel.

The transmission set-up includes paddle shifters behind the wheel on some models for a sportier experience and to put the driver firmly in control of gear changes.

As well as being a strong performer, the City is a notably safety-conscious car. Protective measures include a wide variety of cutting-edge Honda technology and passive protection systems. The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) keeps the driver in command of the car when performing an emergency stop and with Electronic Balance Distributor (EBD), the City keeps its stability under difficult driving conditions.

This technology supports the Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure, which is ultra-strong and protects occupants in the event of an accident. Dual airbags deploy in the front and neck injuries are lessened by the whiplash mitigation system. The team at Al-Futtaim Honda has the knowledge to provide full details on the City, and we can also schedule a test drive to give customers a taste of the on-road experience.
